PFLAG Denver Adult Book Club
This book group is for adults (18+) seeking to expand their understanding of the lived experiences of transgender, non-binary, and gender nonconforming communities. Join us as we read and collectively reflect on both fiction and nonfiction works that center diverse and intersectional gender identities such that we may become better allies and advocates.
PFLAG is an organization of LGBTQ+ people, parents, families, and allies who work together to create an equitable and inclusive world. PFLAG Denver serves this mission as one of hundreds of chapters across the country, locally supporting families, educating allies, and advocating for just, equitable, and inclusive legislation and policies. (More about PFLAG below.)
Join us on a bimonthly basis on the last Mondays of the month starting September 25. We'll meet at Second Star to the Right Bookstore in Denver @ 6:30pm. RSVP: https://events.humanitix.com/pflag-denver-adult-book-club

PFLAG:
Formed in 1980, the PFLAG Denver chapter has been serving the Denver Metro Area for over 40 years. We offer twice-monthly support group sessions (in-person and virtual) for parents, partners, spouses, and allies with a direct connection to the transgender, non-binary, and gender nonconforming community. We are active in the local community, speaking at local organizations and events, providing resources and materials to aligned groups, and working in partnership with other local LGBTQIA+ organizations. PFLAG Denver creates community through events, including Connect YOUTH events for LGBTQIA+ Youth and their families with joy-focused experiences and representation. PFLAG Denver awards scholarships to school GSA clubs and individual scholarships to LGBTQIA+ and allied youth for their secondary education, with over $100K in individual scholarships awarded to date. We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and are not affiliated with any religious or political groups.
