Village Parenting gathering!
Thank you for all who came and shared at
our past meeting!
We are a independent bookstore that sells thoughtfully curated books, toys and gifts. Inspired by J.M. Barrie’s book Peter Pan, we fill our shelves predominantly with stories written for children and young adults, but all is intended to be enjoyed by readers of all ages.
Stay tuned for more to come...Upon completion of our addition to the existing building this summer, we hope to open a snack shop, an outside reading area, and an event space to host book clubs, author visits, and birthday parties. We also intend to bring art, music, and dance classes as well as grown-up book clubs and sensory-friendly story time.
Second Star to the Right
Booked! While school visits might already be booked, please feel free to still request this author to be waitlisted in case a school visit falls through.
Forget The Gym: Using Play And Daily Movement Vitamins To Feel Better And Move More
Most of the adult tension patterns and aches and pains that I see in my practice are not some inevitable part of aging - they are more often reasonable response to decades of giving up movement or swapping more dynamic movement for a whole lot of sitting still. Our children, especially the younger ones, are great examples of the full capacity of human movement- they still get up and down from a squat, hang on monkey bars, twist, bend and move in all the ways. But as grown ups, we give up all of these necessary Movement Vitamins because we just aren't asked to use them - our culture doesn't encourage it, our environments are not set up for it... BUT there is a better way. You can use your little kids as the excuse to get these important Movement Vitamins back into your daily life AND you can help set up a space and lifestyle where your kids won't start losing them too.
Day Care Provided
Join Restorative Exercise Specialist Zoe Levine, as she reintroduces you to your body, breaks you out of these "grown up" cages that we put ourselves into, and helps you bring more freedom, fun, and ease back into your life. By the end, you'll feel great and have a solid plan for how to bring more movement, strength, and playfulness into your everyday life... even with the kids!
No gym required.

The Disasters by M. K England
The Breakfast Club meets Guardians of the Galaxy in this YA sci-fi adventure by debut author M. K. England. On the run and framed for atrocities they didn’t commit, Nax and his fellow failures execute a dangerous heist to spread the truth about what happened at the Academy. Full of high-stakes action, subversive humor, and underdogs becoming heroes, this YA sci-fi adventure is a page-turning thrill ride that anyone—not just space nerds—can enjoy.
Mariana says: How England manages to pack so much heart, laughter, and truth into a breakneck one-book space adventure, I'll never understand, but it does. Know that it's my highest of compliments when I say: This book is made for a fandom, complete with ships and fanart, and I can't wait for those fans to find it and fall in love.
