Community involvement has been a passion of our owner, Dea, since she was a teacher for over 10 years in Colorado. She believes deeply that when each of us shares our knowledge and creativity, we all thrive. Since founding Second Star, she has brought her passion for community to every project, from providing space to local artisans to showcase their talents to promoting collection drives to help those in need. The outreach team at Second Star has relationships with food banks, adoption agencies, animal shelters, schools and a wider range of nonprofits in the Denver Metro area to collaborate with. Second Star regularly supports broader community activities such as Pride Fest and Children's Festival of Stories, which expand our impact into the wider world.
